Richard’s Gems and Jewelry, along with Pearl 
    and Co., is a proud sponsor of a two-night 
   charity fundraiser for the Celebration of the Sea
   Foundation.  The first night, Friday, July 17,
   2009, featured the Amaya Swimwear Fashion
   Show at Hotel Victor in South Beach,

   Sponsors included Amaya Swimwear, Cosmix,
   Urban Decay Cosmetics, GHM, SoFi, and
   Vaughn Inc.  The second night, Saturday, July
   18, 2009, featured the Betty Bangs Swimwear
   fashion show, at the MIA at Biscayne in
   downtown Miami, starring top international
   models Tina Brady and Claudia Davila.  Other
   sponsors included Urban Decay Cosmetics,
   SoFi Salon and Spa, Carlos, Betty Bangs, Fab
   C, Peacock, Jen & Kim, and Biguine Beauty
   Full.  Both nights contained special live
   performances by American Idol Christina
   Christian and the Patxi Pastor Band.  Over 400
   guests attended including VIPs and celebrities.

   Richard’s Gems and Jewelry has been in business
   for 26 years. We enjoy serving the community and
   love to give back in every way we can.  Celebration
   of the Sea Foundation is a non-profit foundation
   that helps educate inner city children and children that have cancer about marine habitats and aquatic
   ecosystems. The Celebration of the Sea  Foundation also launched the World Ocean Watch (WOW)
   Environmental and Educational Marine Science Program with the Miami-Dade Public School System. 
   The program focuses on the relationships between marine and terrestrial habitats as well as
   protecting our ecosystems.

       

  K.I.D.S. Fundraiser

   Richard’s Gems and Jewelry is a proud
   sponsor of the K.I.D.S. (Kids in Distressed
   situations, Inc.) fashion show  and concert
   fundraiser starring Cristina Christian, American
   Idol finalist in  “Season One.”  Claudia Davila,
   actress and  international Ford Model,
   headlined a vintage inspired fashion show
   during the  event.  Over 400 celebrities and
   VIPs as well as top fashion and  entertainment
   industry professionals attended the fundraiser 
   at The  Standard in Miami Beach in January
   2009.

   Richard’s Gems and Jewelry is very active in
   serving the  community and giving back to
   South Florida.  The K.I.D.S.  fundraiser event
   helped benefit the local Miami-Dade children  
   in need.  K.I.D.S. has served as one of the
   nation’s leading children’s  charities for over
   twenty-three years and provides support for
   children and  their families around the world.
   Since 1985, K.I.D.S. has donated over half a 
   billion dollars worth of new merchandise to
   more than 60 million children in  need while
   keeping overhead costs below 3%.
